Comments "Working with Kallari, an Ecuadorian cocoa cooperative, has been one of the most interesting, challenging, and rewarding experiences of my life. Mason Earles and I were able to bring many ideas from our time abroad back to campus and get others involved to help Kallari improve as an organization, affecting the lives of hundreds of indigenous farmers in Ecuador. The opportunity to work with students and faculty from Arts & Sciences, Business, and Architecture simultaneously to help these people has been truly invaluable for everyone involved, and has also been an incredible learning exercise. We were incredibly grateful to receive enough funding from WU to fly seven of us to Ecuador for Spring Break to work on this project as well as bringing three Kallari workers to St. Louis, creating a unique international multidisciplinary exchange. We hope this relationship will continue with ourselves and other students well into the future." Faculty Mentors: Bruce Lindsey and Henry Biggs
