home search students news contact   AWARD   |   03-20-2007 Justin Gilmer selected to participate in the Research in Industrial Projects for Students (RIPS) 2007 Washington University junior Justin Gilmer has been selected (10 out of 300 were chosen) to participate in the Research in Industrial Projects for Students (RIPS) 2007 REU. This program is sponsored by Microsoft. It requires him to spend two months in Beijing this summer. His team of 10 will be joined by a team of 10 Chinese students to work on some algorithm type computing problems. Justin is a math major with minors in Chinese and Computer Science. Needless to say, he is very excited about this opportunity!
